As we work to create a community that is free of sexual violence, we strive to empower individuals and communities through treatment, intervention, and prevention services. We work diligently to educate and advocate for systemic changes that will improve the response to sexual abuse through public policy initiatives and legislation. You can contact Day One directly, or when a sexual assault is reported; the Victims of Crime Helpline, law enforcement, or the Attorney General’s Office also refers victims to Day One for trauma-informed care and advocacy. We provide advocates and therapeutic treatment services to children, youth, and adults across the state of Rhode Island.
Our agency is specifically designed to address sexual assault as a community concern. We provide comprehensive trauma-informed services in a relaxed and comfortable environment. From sexual assault on college campuses to the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC), Day One address the prevalence of sexual violence affecting Rhode Island communities.
