About Good Neighbor Energy Fund (GNEF)

Assistance paying utility bills due to financial hardship (can apply even if already receiving LIHEAP benefits)

The Good Neighbor Energy Fund is administered by United Way of Rhode Island. CAPP is proud to serve as partner and help Providence County residents in need of utilities assistance throughout the winter months. The program generally runs from mid October through June. The Good Neighbor Energy Fund is available to any Rhode Islander who, because of financial difficulty, needs assistance paying a current energy expense and meets eligibility guidelines.
