The mission of East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is to provide high-quality, comprehensive and accessible health and human services to assist people to achieve their fullest potential.
EBCAP strives to be recognized as the premier health and human services agency in the East Bay. EBCAP is governed by its 17 member Board of Directors that is representative of the East Bay’s public sector, consumers, business, labor, religious, welfare, education and significant minority groups and interests in the community. The Board of Directors meets monthly, and its meetings are open to the public. East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) measures our success one person, one family and one community at a time. We are here to help people stay strong, and we are here to help people find their strength when they are in need. We say that EBCAP is a bridge to self-reliance. This means we help people get what they need to keep themselves safe, secure, and healthy. We help them care for others as well, as parents to young children, and caregivers of older adults. Each year, we help more than 30,000 East Bay individuals, who might not otherwise get their social, emotional, and health care needs met. This strengthens the overall well-being of the communities that we serve.
The Rhode Island Public Health Institute’s mission is to promote community health and eliminate health disparities in Rhode Island and beyond.
